Martine Lessault brings a strong background in hospitality to her position as owner and manager of Gastronomicom, an international culinary academy located in southern France. In this role, Ms. Lessault develops courses in gastronomy, French pastries, wine and fine-dining services. Additionally, she oversees daily operations and supervises the academy’s professional teaching staff.

Ms. Lessault harnessed her passion for fine dining to create a topnotch training institution for both working professionals and budding sommeliers, chefs and pastry artists. To provide her students with a range of options, Ms. Lessault has designed modules ranging from month-long gourmet courses to two-year certificate programs. As part of her curriculum, Ms. Lessault teaches French culture and professional vocabulary.

Ms. Lessault brings over three decades of experience to Gastronomicom. Prior to founding her academy in 2004, she served as director of international relations for the Vatel International Business School of Hotel Management for nine years. Ms. Lessault also managed luxury hotels and restaurants in Europe for over 15 years.

A former hotel management student at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Ms Lessault attributes her success to her love for people. In the future, she hopes to open a franchise academy in Brazil and make her courses available in China.
